Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Services Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our commercial service businesses, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services to meet customer satisfaction goals. This role requires strong management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive revenue growth while maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all aspects of the commercial service businesses, including staff scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor financial performance through regular analysis of sales data, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing and operations to develop innovative service offerings that align with customer demands.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing any complaints or issues raised by clients/customers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all commercial service areas.
  • Oversee inventory management processes including procurement, stock control, rotation policies, wastage reduction initiatives etc.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met throughout all commercial service areas.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and competitors' activities; recommend necessary adjustments or improvements accordingly.

Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in managing teams effectively
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) along with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve financial targets through effective cost control measures
  • Proficient in analyzing sales data trends using various software tools
  • Ability to multitask effectively while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working within the hospitality industry is highly desirable

Qualifications

  • Qualifications and/or Commercial Business Management Certifications or significant experience.
  • Experience in a management role within the hospitality or catering industry
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and improving operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial service areas
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office suite and relevant software tools

Essential Licences / Clearances prior to commencement

  • Obtain Northern Land Council permit (with assistance)
  • Obtain National Police Clearance Check (with assistance)
  • Obtain / Hold a valid Ochre Card
