Join a dynamic, committed team who are passionate about supporting young people and be integral in initiating and implementing an exciting new early intervention program which will be driven by a Youth Council and Champions who will help guide the program direction e.g. topics, formats and activities and be tailored specifically for Tenterfield.

Your new role

With a strong focus on improving the physical and emotional wellbeing of our youth, your proactive support and use of virtual services, will prevent issues from escalating and foster resilience in a regional community which has been significantly impacted by social and economic responses to COVID 19, bushfires and ongoing drought.

You will support young people to build their social and emotional wellbeing, to recognise and manage their mental health through a stepped care model of therapeutic services, group work and case management. Working collaboratively within communities, you will reduce barriers for young people to engage with services and reduce the impact of mental health challenges.

Terms: Max term contract 24 months

Your experience

As an experienced Social Worker, Psychologist, Case Worker or Case Manager, you'll have:

  • Be a natural team player with the capacity to work independently
  • Experience supporting and engaging young people
  • A holistic, client centred approach with a calm, reassuring manner
  • Experience conducting assessments, providing case management, and group work
  • A relevant degree qualification or demonstrated experience and a current driver's licence
