About the role

As the Team Leader for the Home Support team, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of excellence and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for providing support and guidance to the Home Support team members (HSTM), ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to excel in their roles.

Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high service quality standards, and you will inspire your team to turn each interaction into a memorable experience for the clients. Helping your team to recognise the impact of their work, you will celebrate the wins, embrace the opportunities for improvement, and build upon their potential. By cultivating a collaborative and empowered environment, you will enable your team to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations, ultimately contributing to the success and reputation of our organisation.

Duties

  • Lead and support the team to deliver aged care services that meet legislative, funding, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate service delivery and client outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide structured supervision, coaching, and performance management to team members.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service coordination and client outcomes.
  • Support the Manager in operational oversight and act in their absence as required.

Skills and Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in nursing, social work, aged care, community services, or a related field is desirable.
  • Proven experience leading a team in a client-focused service environment.
  • Strong understanding of aged care legislation, compliance frameworks, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance, support staff development, and drive service improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholders.
