The Benevolent Society’s vision is to build a just society where all Australians can live their best life. For more than 200 years we have supported people at the margins of society: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians; children, young people, and their families; older people; carers and people with disability. We are an independent, non-religious service provider which supports people to live life their way.
As part of The Benevolent Society's vision, we are strongly committed to reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Australia. We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This role requires you to be registered with the NDIS as a “Registered Behavioural Support Practitioner” at a “Core" or "Proficient” level.
To be “Core" or "Proficient” we need you to have assessed yourself as:
You will be partnering with Allied Health Professionals to create personalised support plans for your clients – spanning from children to adults, covering a wide range of needs and abilities. You will have a dynamic caseload that includes a variety of intellectual and psychosocial diagnoses. You will showcase your expertise in identifying and phasing out restrictive practices, ensuring our clients receive the most effective and empowering support.
But that's not all! We support you with regular check-ins with our Senior Practitioners, engaging in monthly gatherings with your fellow Practitioners, and ongoing guidance and mentorship from our dedicated team of Allied Health professionals and your supportive Team Leader. Get ready to be part of an exciting and collaborative environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference!
We support people to live their best life. That includes you, our employee. A ‘best life’ is unique to everyone and can change as life changes:
A current registration to practice as a Core or Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner in accordance with the NDIS Capability Framework.
If you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, then we want to hear from you. The Benevolent Society recognises and values cultural knowledge and wisdom of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, we therefore strongly encourage you to apply. We are strongly committed to being an Employer of Choice, one who offers, provides, and practices cultural safety in our workplace.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Ash on 0401 675 558 or Amy on 0468 576 682 for a friendly, confidential discussion.
