Support Leader - Charters Towers

The Role:

As Support Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting our dedicated team of lifestyle support workers. You'll be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, fostering a positive team environment, and maintaining strong relationships with participants, families, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of lifestyle support workers to deliver outstanding care and support.
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of individual support plans in line with NDIS guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Liaise with participants, families, and other stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the team, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services and processes.
  • Attending shifts where required and participation in the after hours on call roster.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the disability or community services sector.
  • Strong understanding of the NDIS and its requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Relevant sector experience and/or qualifications in disability, community services, or a related field.

Essential requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (State-based), NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Working with Children's (WWC) check.
  • Current class C driver license (QLD) and ability to use your own insured vehicle.
  • National NDIS Worker Screening Check or current Yellow Card.
  • Covid-19 Vaccination requirements as determined under the Public Health Directions and/or alternative measures as determined by TARDISS.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
