The Tasmanian Aboriginal Legal Service (TALS) is looking for a Corporate Services Manager.

Reporting to the CEO, the Corporate Services Manager oversees the business functions of TALS including, finance, human resources, governance, IT and data requirements, risk, compliance and project management.

What we are looking for

  1. Experience in a mid or senior management level role in corporate administration, where strong analytical skills, sound decision making and effective leadership has been demonstrated.
  2. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, human resources, law or similar.
  3. Proven experience and understanding of governance and company secretarial duties and obligations.
  4. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multi-disciplinary functions, including finance, human resources, IT, asset management and compliance.
  5. Demonstrated experience in managing and providing advice on a range of HR or people matters, including recruitment, remuneration, performance management and workplace health and safety.
  6. Experience in the management of projects and strategic initiatives, with well-developed problem-solving abilities.
  7. Proven stakeholder engagement skills, including building effective relationships with a range of partners.
  8. Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and transparency, contributing to a positive workplace culture, and a highly effective and engaged team.
  9. Understanding of Aboriginal communities in Tasmania and a commitment to progress action towards improved justice and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to undergo a National Police Check and apply for a Working with Vulnerable Persons registration.

A current driver’s licence is required, as travel will occur across Tasmania.
