The NSW Community Alliance is seeking an experienced administrator who can support the organisations to live out their mission of the common good. Do you love lists, clean data, efficient meetings, balancing multiple priorities and keeping an important socially focused organisation humming? This role could be for you.
“The Alliance brings together diverse community organisations, unions, and religious organisations to advance the common good and achieve a fair, just and sustainable city.
We do this by providing opportunities for people to have a say in decisions that affect them, their families and everyone working and living in NSW cities and regions.
The administrator for the Alliance enables a dynamic, creative group of organisers to do their work. By maintaining and improving administrative systems you provide order and peace of mind so that hundreds of volunteers can engage effectively with the important work of the Alliance.
Across the role, you’ll not only be supporting the NSW team in Sydney and Newcastle, but interacting with leaders and organisers from Queensland, Aotearoa-New Zealand, Canada and the United States.
You are someone that takes initiative and are able to identify areas for operational improvement; getting stuck in to solve problems before others even pick them up. As the main gateway for communications into the organisation you are both friendly and professional.
You are organised and enjoy helping others to get organised whilst managing those important day to day administrative tasks that help any office and organisation run more effectively and efficiently. You help create a physical workplace for employees to enjoy coming to and can also support a flexible working environment to enable online participation.
NSW Community Alliance is looking for an experienced and passionate professional to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day administrative activities of the office and organisation. For the first year, the position is full time including an administrative secondment supporting the IAF Pacific, the network to which the NSW Community Alliance belongs.
