Since 2002, South West Local Learning and Employment Network (South West LLEN) has been working with schools, businesses, and communities across the region to ensure that young people are supported to aspire and achieve the very best possible education, training and employment outcomes.

The goal of South West LLEN is to improve outcomes for young people, by increasing opportunities for their participation, attainment and successful transitions in education, training, or employment. South West LLEN has a particular focus on young people who are at risk of disengaging, or who have already disengaged from education and training and are not in full time employment.

About the role

South West Local Learning and Employment Network is recruiting for an Executive Officer to lead the organisation through the next stage of its development.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic leader, who is passionate about creating opportunities for young people in South West Victoria.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and/or management of not-for-profit organisations;
  • An understanding of the education sector, with a particular emphasis on VET and transitions from school to work;
  • Demonstrated experience in networking and advocacy;
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with report writing and presentation skills favourably regarded;
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and reporting, including grant acquittals and government compliance;
  • Working with Children Check and Police Check are mandatory;
  • Victorian Drivers License essential.
