The Role

Ready to make a real impact and play a key role in a fast growing, purpose driven organisation? We are looking for a proactive Fundraising Officer to help power our mission and support the Society in achieving our fundraising goals.

As our Fundraising Officer – Supporter Care, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications (FMC) team. You will be the first point of contact for our valued supporters, fostering quick and meaningful relationships. Your responsibilities include processing donations, maintaining the supporter database, and providing general administrative support. You will work both independently and collaboratively to assist in delivering a range of Vinnies QLD projects and events. This role ensures timely and accurate support focused on our donors, enabling the Society to achieve its fundraising goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team
  • Support fundraising department operations, including donation processing, CRM and third-party site transactions, batching, receipting, and assisting with the monthly income reconciliation in partnership with the Finance department.
  • Take responsibility for following the daily banking process, including preparation of paperwork, funds and depositing via Australia Post and CBA.
  • Utilise The Raiser's Edge database for developing queries, data imports, data entry, and ensuring data accuracy and hygiene
  • Process regular giving donations according to the agreed schedule
  • Prepare basic data analysis for ad hoc or regular fundraising reports
  • Deliver high-level of donor care via phone and written communications.
  • Support the FMC team with preparation for meetings

This is a Permanent, Full-time position (38 hours per week) role based at our State Administration Office in South Brisbane.

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria

  • Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent professional on-the-job experience in either Administration, Marketing, Finance or a related field.
  • Previous experience in basic financial processing and reconciliation.
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency including in Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Exemplary phone manner and a professional attitude which promotes SVdP’s core values.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of key stakeholders.
  • Personal aptitude for attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
