The Position

Samaritan House is part of the Society's Special Works program, providing 24/7 crisis accommodation and case management for single men aged 18 years and over. The program takes a holistic, person-centred and trauma-informed approach, walking alongside companions as they build confidence, develop life skills and work toward sustainable housing outcomes.

As a Case Manager, you’ll be at the heart of this journey. You’ll work closely with companions to develop and deliver tailored case plans, maintain accurate case records, and connect people with housing pathways, services and community supports. Through consistent, compassionate support, you’ll help people take meaningful steps toward stability and independence.

You’ll also play an important role in the smooth running of the service, contributing to administration, reporting, and working closely with the Coordinator and Senior Case Manager to ensure coordinated, high-quality support.

This permanent part-time role offers a minimum of 48 hours per fortnight, worked across weekdays.

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated professional who genuinely cares about supporting people through complex life challenges. You’re someone who communicates with empathy, works well with others, and brings a calm, steady approach to your work.

You’ll be organised, resilient, and confident working in a dynamic environment, with a solid understanding of the barriers faced by people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.

A Diploma in Community Services (or a related field) or equivalent experience is required, along with demonstrated experience in a similar role.

Successful applicants must have a current Driver’s Licence and be willing to complete a National Police Check and hold or obtain a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card and First Aid Certificate upon commencement.

  • Ongoing learning and development to support your growth
