Little bit about the role

Quin House, located in Fitzroy, is an 11 bed post-withdrawal residential rehabilitation supported accommodation service for male-identifying and trans-male persons with co-occurring homelessness and substance dependency. The Reconstructing Life After Dependency (RLAD) program is a six-month abstinence-based community program for clients post-Quin House or other similar residential rehabilitation facilities. It is a recovery-based model of case management, and also provides counselling and groups.

The Senior Worker – Quin House and RLAD oversees Quin House and RLAD. The position provides leadership on a day to day basis around the operations of Quin and RLAD both operationally and clinically to ensure the oversight, encouragement, and provision of evidence-based AOD practice and effective service delivery within Quin and RLAD. This includes (but is not limited to): day to day running of the Quin House facility (including but not limited to: bed occupancy, waitlist management, intakes, and rent collection), overseeing Quin House and RLAD staff and the Quin House peer mentors, facilitation of reflective practices and case consultations, providing supervision to staff, secondary consults, mentoring staff, and capacity building/training of staff. Other leadership responsibilities include accountabilities to funding bodies, reporting to the Manager and/or Team Leader, networking, and contributing to the overall operations of Quin House and RLAD.
