The Role:

VincentCare Community Housing is seeking an appropriately qualified Project Worker to develop a Community Engagement Strategy.

In this position, you will be identifying opportunities for improvement and increased renter participation in the design and delivery of our housing services.

By assessing our renter-base and property portfolio and researching other community engagement strategies, you will help drive process improvements within VincentCare's Community Housing functions. Additionally, you will also be assessing existing renter satisfaction measurement mechanisms and reporting on your findings to help the team design and implement an improved feedback mechanism.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary Qualification in relevant field (e.g. Community Services, Social Work, Quality Management Systems, Sociology etc);
  • A full current driver's license (Mandatory);
  • Working knowledge of community engagement/community development principles;
  • Knowledge on the importance of social inclusion in the prevention of homeless or housing instability;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, strengthening and maintaining positive engagement with communities, specifically communities experiencing marginalisation and disadvantage;
  • Knowledge of designing consumer feedback systems that are accessible, innovative and effective;
  • Highly developed communication skills;
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the capacity to prioritise and deliver on multiple tasks;
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
