The Role:

As the Private Rental Assistance Case Manager, you will be working closely with a wide variety of individuals accessing VincentCare's Private Rental Assistance Program (PRAP) to assist them in accessing and maintaining their own private rental accommodation.

Liaising with real estate industry, landlords, VCAT as well as other community support services, the Private Rental Assistance Case Manager works fluidly and flexibility within the dynamic private rental housing market environment, analyses trends and identifies access opportunities for our clients.

In this role, you provide the expertise needed to navigate a difficult terrain and help our clients achieve and sustain secure housing.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the private rental sector and managing rental brokerage;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of housing systems, tenancy rights and responsibilities, rental legislation and rental agreements;
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of housing providers and support services;
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment that reacts to industry trends;
  • Previous case management experience (highly preferred);
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members to support clients to achieve identified goals;
  • A valid Victorian driver's licence and availability to travel to various sites.
