Your Role

As a Supports in Employment Coordinator, you will Coordinate, develop and facilitate activities, events and supports, to supported open employees, and stakeholders, to ensure that supported open employee goals are achieved.

Your Responsibility 

  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate evidence-based, person-centred programs, activities and events that build economic and social inclusion for people with disability, in line with participants’ goals.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of building disability confidence, promoting inclusive working environments, profile raising, information and referral, program development and to achieve the best outcomes for the people we assist.
  • Deliver workplace disability confidence training to potential employers.
  • Develop materials and resources for participants, based on participants’ goals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain feedback and evaluation processes that promote participant participation and lead to processes of continuous improvement and quality practice. 

You Will Need

  • Relevant qualification/s and/or demonstrated experience in disability, community services and/or educational program or other relevant area.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including cultural sensitivity and cross-culture communication.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to confidently apply de-escalation strategies in challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating programs, events and activities for people with disability and/or socially excluded / vulnerable groups of people
  • NDIS Worker Screening and the certificate of completion for the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – or willingness to obtain certificate of completion.
