Your new role:

The Supply Centre Officer will coordinate and facilitate the ordering and supply of internal goods, supplies, and PPE for Vinnies Services, retail centres, services, and conferences.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure standard guidelines are clearly communicated to all purchasers and orders are followed as per the guidelines
  • Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of all standard stock items, liaise with SVDP staff to replenish stock as necessary and complete annual stock take.
  • Track identified stock to ensure a record of receipt for SVDP.
  • Create pick lists as necessary, fill and despatch orders in a timely manner inclusive of customer courier requests and tracking to delivery.
  • Manage customer enquiries.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure that the Society effectively safeguards children. Ensure that staff and volunteers complete relevant pre-engagement checks (National Criminal History check, and where required Working With Children Check); act in accordance with the organisation's Code of Conduct and Member and Volunteer Charter, and comply with the organisation's Workplace Health and Safety program.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for members, staff, and volunteers by implementing the Society's workplace health and safety practices.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Experience in inventory and supply chain management in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to manage paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Be team-oriented, with a can do attitude & a commitment to high standards of service provision and social justice.
  • Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Sound written and spoken communication skills.
  • IT competency, including the use of Microsoft Office programs and other software applications.
  • Sound knowledge of safe work environmental practises and compliance with the Work Health and Safety standards as expressed in Society's policy and relevant legislation.
