THE ROLE

In this diverse new role you will be leading a multidisciplinary team & coordinating all aspects of Vinnies newly created New England AOD Hub. The New England AOD Hub is an exciting new service that will provide specialist AOD treatment and support, with a focus on delivering services tailored to meet the needs of people living in rural and regional areas. Utilising your AOD knowledge & strong leadership skills you will support the team to deliver high-quality case management, care coordination, group work and general drug and alcohol treatment. You will also play a pivotal role in fostering and developing strong relationships with partnering organisations & coordinate the successful delivery of programs, services, and shared care arrangements. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead staff to ensure high quality, evidenced-based treatment, case management and care coordination work.
  • Line manage and support direct reports - including professional development and performance, and supervision.
  • Ensure community-based care and support work is delivered by the team using a person centred and trauma informed approach.
  • Ensure all AOD Hub New England programs and services including groups, health clinics and one on one supports and services are accessible to the New England Community using inreach, outreach and virtual care models.
  • Ensure Hub staff and partnering organisations remain accountable to shared care arrangements.
  • Manage the operations of the AOD Hub New England & lead service planning and evaluation activities.
  • Liaise and coordinate all partner engagement with the AOD Hub New England and its participants, including coordinating and chairing the partnership and governance meetings.
  • Manage all partner relations for the benefit of delivering AOD Hub New England Services & develop new partnerships.

YOU WILL NEED

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Science, Social Work, Psychology, or other related fields .
  • NSW Drivers License.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff.
  • Extensive experience working with people with complex needs in an alcohol and other drug or mental health setting.
  • Understanding of risk management responsibilities in an alcohol and other drug and mental health context.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capability to promote and model the ethos and mission of the society in all interactions with members, staff, volunteers and broader community members.
