Your Role 

We’re seeking a passionate and committed Case Worker to join our Homelessness & Housing Services team in Armidale. In this diverse role, you will provide direct support to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness through comprehensive case management, advocacy, and connecting clients with essential services.

Your efforts will make a meaningful difference, helping people rebuild stability and regain independence. This highly rewarding position offers the chance to be at the forefront of positive community change, all within a supportive and inclusive team environment.

Your Responsibility

  • Engage with clients experiencing homelessness or housing instability through compassionate, person-centred support.
  • Conduct initial assessments, crisis intervention, and ongoing case management.
  • Connect clients with essential services, life skills programs, and education opportunities.
  • Advocate with government bodies, courts, and service providers on behalf of your clients.
  • Conduct outreach and home visits to those in transitional or temporary accommodation.
  • Develop tailored case plans and provide consistent follow-up and support.
  • Maintain accurate, professional client records and contribute to reporting and data collection.

You Will Need

  • A minimum Cert IV in Welfare, Community Services, or a related field (or currently studying).
  • Experience supporting vulnerable and marginalised individuals.
  • Strong understanding of the complex issues surrounding homelessness.
  • Knowledge of local services and referral pathways.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and act decisively in crisis situations.
  • A current NSW Driver Licence.
