We are a not for profit organisation that delivers creative programs in visual arts, performing arts, and life skills for adults living with disability. Established in 2000, Studio ARTES supports over 260 people with a variety of disabilities, including people living with mild to moderate intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders, mild to moderate physical disabilities and down syndrome. Creative programs are member driven, based on consistent feedback from participants, ingrained in a culture of inclusion, equity and respect, and led by facilitators with expertise in their chosen creative practices. Bespoke creative programs and professional development opportunities are offered at our studios in Hornsby and Sydenham, community sites across Sydney, and online.

About The Position

Program Coordinator – Visual Arts will work across all Studio ARTES sites in collaboration with Managers and fellow Program Coordinators to assist in the delivery of programs and creative projects. This role is a permanent part time position, required to work a total of 26 hours a week. This role is required to work on site at both our Hornsby and Sydenham Studios. Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the planning, development and delivery of programs, projects, and outings.
  • Assisting in staff management, including but not limited to fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting staff in the daily delivery of quality programs, reviewing and providing feedback, and training development.
  • Incident management.
  • Ensure WHS and NDIS requirements are adhered to.
  • Facilitate quality programs for adults with disability.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Experience in leading teams in a community services environment
  • Qualifications or relevant experience in visual arts
  • Previous experience in delivering creative projects and/or programs
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • A high level of confidentiality and privacy
  • Experience in, or passion to work with people with disability, and an understanding of the challenges and changes of delivering services under the NDIS
  • Competency in Microsoft applications
  • Vaccination requirements as per Government guidelines and Studio ARTES policies

  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
