A Place to Create. A Space to Belong.
At Studio ARTES, we believe in celebrating neurodiversity, individuality, and the power of creativity. We proudly support a diverse community of over 200 adults with disability, including people who identify as neurodivergent and those with intellectual, physical, and sensory support needs.
We are a not-for-profit organisation offering member-led programs in the visual and performing arts, as well as life skills development. Since 2000, we’ve grown into a vibrant, inclusive community where creativity, self-expression, and personal growth are nurtured and celebrated.
Our approach is person-centred and strengths-based — guided by each Member’s unique goals, interests, and ways of engaging with the world. With studios located in Hornsby and Sydenham, as well as online and in community settings across Sydney, Studio ARTES offers a rich variety of opportunities for Members to connect, create, and thrive.
Studio ARTES is expanding, and we’re looking for experienced, compassionate, and creative Casual Support Workers to join our team in the Inner West.
This dynamic role combines one-on-one support with group facilitation. You’ll work closely with our Members in a way that honours their individual support needs, communication style, and sensory preferences. Using a strengths-based approach, you’ll remain flexible and responsive, so your support reflects where each person is at and helps them pursue goals that matter to them. Alongside individual work, you’ll also lead or co-facilitate group sessions focused on building life skills such as cooking, gardening, social connection, and accessing the community.
Casual Support Workers at Studio ARTES are also involved in delivering creative projects, supporting Members in their homes or communities, and contributing to the growth of Studio ARTES as both a service and a creative community.
If you have experience in disability support and a passion for the arts — whether it’s visual art, performance, music, photography or something else entirely — we’d love to hear from you.
This is a casual position with no guaranteed weekly hours. Shifts are offered based on the needs of the studio, program scheduling, and Member support requirements. Flexibility and availability across weekdays (9am–3pm) are preferred, with occasional opportunities for weekend or after-hours work.
All applicants must be able to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check, complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Training, and commit to some self-learning on working with people with disability and their rights prior to starting.
A position description is attached.
