Role overview
Our new Strategic Plan prioritises the need to understand our impact. We want to be a leader in this space, generating and using evidence to improve our impact, prove what works and to shape policy settings across the sector. This new role will be critical in helping Stride achieve its strategic goals.
- Support the implementation of our organisation-wide Outcomes Framework that enables the collection, analysis, reporting and practical use of evidence of our impact
- Assist Service Teams with outcome measure data collection and contribute towards regular review of data quality.
- Support administration and analysis of our annual consumer experience survey, including preparation of reports and monitoring associated quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the design and implementation of our Evaluation Framework and associated program evaluation plans.
- Support the development of insightful reports to management, leadership, and the Board regarding service impact and consumer outcomes to inform service design and continuous improvement.
- Assist with project management and implementation of external research projects and partnerships (e.g., Australian Psychosocial Alliance, commissioned evaluations).
- Support development of training materials related to evaluation and evidence.
- You may have other responsibilities assigned by your manager from time to time to assist Stride in the context of Evaluation and Evidence
Requirements
- Post-graduate research qualifications in mental health
- 2+ years experience supporting research, evaluation and outcomes management
- Experience in quantitative research and use of data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA)
- Experience in qualitative research and use of data analysis software (e.g. NVivo) is desirable
- Experience in mental health of children, mental health of young people and/or persistent mental illness and complex needs
- Demonstrated ability to apply basic research methodologies and to conduct quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis
- Well-developed communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skill
- Ability to work autonomously, with supervision, and as part of a team
- Highly proficient computer skills including the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent negotiation, problem solving, and decision-making skills, as well as the ability to work to timeframes, meet deadlines, and work in challenging situations
- An ability to communicate, negotiate and work with a wide range of staff including clinical & non-clinical
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card/WWCC and any other compliance checks
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
- Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) is desirable, but not mandatory
