A key part of the Community Services team, the Child Safety Officer will:

  • Provide advice and guidance on Child Safety Legislation
  • Develop actions and plans to
  • Collaborate and communicate with a range of stakeholders including running working groups, facilitating sessions
  • Implement mechanisms for monitoring, reporting, and ensuring compliance and good governance

This is a temporary position for 2 years, part time for 22.8 hours per week with flexibility for the work pattern. We work a hybrid model of home and office, with flexibility for that to. This role has an hourly rate range of $44.86 to $48.59 or $53,186 to $57,612 annually based on 22.8 hours per week + 10% superannuation.

To succeed in this position you will need:

  • Experience working knowledge of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and a qualification / specialist technical experience in policy and service development in the children, families and youth sector
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build cooperative and collaborative relationships
