About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking Transport Officers at our Notting Hill branch, to support our partnership with the Coroners Court Of Victoria providing transport services of deceased persons in the Melbourne metropolitan region and surrounds, as well as occasional repatriation services to regional Victoria.

Performing duties as a dual crew member (collections from place of death) or as a single operator (during a repatriation), you will be required to work rotational rostered, 8-10 hour shifts. During these shifts you will be activated as required for a collection or a planned repatriation.

About You

This opportunity is suited to those with a great level of resilience, who demonstrate the compassion, dignity and respect needed to work with deceased persons as well as family members involved. This role is suited to someone who can work with emergency service workers, health workers and other relevant stakeholders.

You will:

  • have experience working with deceased persons and associated stakeholders
  • have demonstrated professional and respectful approach when handling and transporting deceased persons
  • hold high levels of resilience, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and nonverbal)
  • be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with highly confidential information
  • be privy and experienced with OHS and manual handling procedures

You will be willing to:

  • provide a Full Victorian Driver License with evidence of safe driving record
  • undertake a Psychometric Evaluation as well as a Physical Capacity Assessment test.
  • give evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19
  • undertake a Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
