Our client, Hutt St Centre aims to end homelessness by advocating with, and empowering, people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness; supporting them to rebuild their lives on their pathway to homefulness. Each year, Hutt St Centre delivers wellbeing and homefulness services for in excess of 2,500 people.
Following the creation of a new Homefulness business unit to assist clients on their journey to homefulness, an exciting opportunity is available for a highly capable leader to join Hutt St Centre at an exciting time for the organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the General Manager Homefulness will provide leadership and management to the Homefulness elements of Hutt St Centre including the Aspire programs, Aged City Living Team, Alliances team and the Homefulness Project.
We seek applications from candidates who have experience in leading a team of staff and volunteers, who is empathetic and committed to and demonstrably lives the values of an organisation in all dealings with clients, staff, volunteers, funders and the community. You will be a respected leader who champions the cause and brings out the best in people, celebrates and embraces diversity, challenges an organisation’s thinking, recognises and promotes outstanding staff and will be the flag bearer of the charism, values and brand of Hutt St Centre and the Daughters of Charity.
You will be a creative innovator who sees the big picture and pursues excellence in service delivery, can adapt to ever changing environments and demands and capitalises on business opportunities that meet Hutt St Centre’s values, strategic priorities and goals. Experience and high-level skills in project management, collaboration, advocacy and effective communication with multiple stakeholders will be essential, and qualifications and experience in Social Services (or similar) are highly desirable.
