An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Claims Officer to join the welcoming and supportive team in Caloundra.

The Position

Managing the processing of claims for payment for various contracts delivered STEPS including Disability Employment Service (DES) and National Panel of Assessors (NPA). Providing proactive and professional service to operations teams across the STEPS Group of Companies this role will assist staff at all levels and will provide clear and concise solutions in a continuous improvement level.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of Disability Employment Service (DES) & National Panel of Assessors (NPA) contractual requirements, relevant funding agreements, deeds, service delivery models and ensure compliance
  • Complete claims processes within established timeframes and in accordance with documented information
  • Prior to submitting claims for payment, review evidence to ensure it is compliant with the Grant Agreements, funding deeds and relevant Guidelines
  • Provide support to the Claims team as well as to the DES and NPA teams
  • Manage activities relating to NPA assessment services and allocate assessments to appropriate NPA assessors

The Successful Applicant

  • Recent experience or knowledge of Employment Services, Employment Assessment Services, DES guidelines, NDIS and National Standards for Disability Services is highly regarded
  • Competent use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail, time management and coordination skills
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and deliver high customer service

Applicants must have the ability to complete a Police Check, hold a Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card) and have a current Driver's Licence.
