As our Fundraising/Individual Giving Specialist, you’ll play a key role in driving positive change, one donor at a time! You will lead the development and execution of strategies to engage, acquire, and retain individual donors, helping to grow and strengthen our supporter base. With a focus on compelling donor journeys, impactful appeals, and thoughtful stewardship, you’ll be at the forefront of building a vibrant and sustainable Individual Giving program.

This role is perfect for blending big-picture strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. This role is all about fundraising. You’ll be a whizz at listening deeply, storytelling with heart, and helping people express their generosity in ways that create lasting impact.

A day in the life will see you:

  • Lead the development and delivery of an integrated Individual Giving strategy focused on growth, retention and donor acquisition across both online and offline channels.
  • Plan, produce, and manage multi-channel fundraising appeals and donor communications, including direct mail, digital campaigns, newsletters and impact reports.
  • Design and deliver purposeful donor campaigns that keep our supporters engaged and appreciated at every stage of the giving journey.
  • Deliver post-campaign reporting with insights and recommendations for improvement, while tracking campaign performance against revenue targets and budgets.
  • Contribute to annual planning and budgeting for fundraising, stay informed on sector trends and best practices, and ensure adherence to St Bart’s policies, compliance, and fundraising.

Your application will go to the top of our shortlist you have:

  • Whilst not essential, qualifications in Fundraising, Marketing or Communications will certainly get our attention!
  • Experience in an NFP fundraising role with a focus on Individual Giving is a must.
  • Proven success in planning and executing end-to-end fundraising or individual giving campaigns, with a strong track record of achieving donor engagement and revenue goals.
  • Tech savvy - knowledge of donor databases and segmentation strategies (Blackbaud applications desirable).
  • Proactive with a keen eye for detail, who enjoys diving into data to uncover insights and drive decisions.
  • Sound communication skills that can effectively communicate with all levels, from all walks of life.

About Us

For 60 years, St Bart’s has supported people experiencing homelessness and severe and persistent mental health issues as they rebuild their lives. We started as a small homeless shelter for men and have grown into a progressive and inclusive organisation providing support to hundreds of Western Australian men, women and families across four key service areas. Our goal is to provide safe, supported accommodation and services to people who need it the most, regardless of background, age, gender or ethnicity.
