Starick is a specialist family and domestic violence service operating in the Perth Metropolitan South-East Corridor. We provide services across the continuum of prevention, early intervention, crisis and recovery. A key focus of our service is supporting children and young people as primary victim survivors of FDV and as clients of our service in their own right.
Starick is seeking a Youth Worker to join our Telethon funded Thriving Through Connection team in working with young people experiencing and escaping Family and Domestic Violence.
The Thriving Through Connection Youth Worker works as part of a team of two youth workers to deliver this program. Thriving Through Connection is an innovative program developed by Starick to improve the safety and wellbeing of young people aged 11 to 17 years who have been exposed to FDV. It provides individual and group-based support, psychosocial education, practical assistance, advocacy and referral, and builds social and peer connections.
The program targets young people who are victim survivors of FDV, residing in the South East Corridor and who access Starick services with their mothers/carers or are referred to Starick by schools or other services.
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Youth Work and a minimum of 2 years' experience working with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.
The role is based in Gosnells.
Please contact Alberto Giglia, Coordinator Youth & Children Programs, at [email protected] using the subject line: Youth Worker enquiry via EthicalJobs with any queries.
Applications for this role will take you to the employer’s site.
