The purpose of the role:

To undertake and help co-ordinate the recruitment, servicing, post placement support and contract requirements of Job Active and Employability, and provide support to the Manager of Employment & Enterprise Services as and when required.

Your contribution:

  • Conduct participant intake, including understanding a participant's employment history and experience, identifying a suitable employment Pathway in collaboration with the participant, identifying a strategy for addressing challenges and barriers to employment as agreed with the participant, performing a Skill Gap analysis
  • Working with program staff to provide integrated and holistic support to participants in line with the program principles
  • Providing pre-employment support (supported by the program team including the Team Assistant- EmployAbility) including resume development and job search assistance, interview support, referrals to education, training and certification opportunities, and referrals to work placement and experience programs (including our social enterprise programs)
  • Referring participants to our network of referrals including Allied Health services and complex barrier support. Maintaining strong relationships with a referral network
  • Leading workshops and orientation sessions for participants on a range of topics related to preparing for employment
  • Overseeing post-placement support for all participants, with support from the Team Assistant- EmployAbility.
  • Working with the jobactive team, including the Manager Employment Programs and the Employment Integration Coordinator, to support reporting and evaluation on the jobactive program

About you:

You will be an experienced Site Manager or Team Leader in the employment services sector, preferably jobactive or JSA with an understanding of working with clients to support them into employment, including identifying employment pathways and strategies to address employment barriers. You would have Lived experience or awareness of the impact of disability upon individuals, families, carer and the community coupled with experience in Administration and Office support; Experience in Customer Service; Interpersonal Skills. Proven expertise at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders will see you succeed in this role.
