SSI's Food Truck, "Food for Thought" is the latest social enterprise that will be operated and managed by the Food Truck Supervisor to support the growth of this enterprise in consultation with the Youth Employment and Social Enterprise Manager as required.
The main focus of this role will be to:
Do you have experience working in a commercial kitchen and hold relevant Vocational Hospitality Qualifications including Food Safety Supervisor Certification, commercial cookery and food safety handling? Do you have previous customer service experience and basic managerial skills to lead and manage a small team?
We're looking for someone with high levels of emotional intelligence and cultural mindfulness who thrives on collaboration and team work. Your ability to 'think outside the box' for creative menu planning will be very well received along with your excellent communication skills, safety awareness and time management capabilities. If you possess previous experience working in a food truck or retail/commercial premise that would be an added bonus but not essential, however your experience cooking Middle Eastern cuisine is an absolute must for this role.
