The Spinal Research Institute (SRI) is committed to improving the lives of people with spinal cord injury. People with spinal cord injury face many challenges and secondary health complications that can diminish quality of life and capacity for independence.

Our mission is to support world class research and clinical trials by working to overcome the well reported barriers in the research process, by building much needed tools for research collaboration and knowledge sharing, and actively involving people with spinal cord injury in the research process.

About the position

We are seeking a researcher to support the development and growth of the SRI’s current programs, and establish and develop new research-related programs.

Position start date February / March 2025.

About you

  • Postgraduate research qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a postgraduate research role
  • Understanding and application of the research process
  • Experience working in collaborative team environments and contributing to team success
  • Excellent time management, with experience managing multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to interact confidently with both colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work autonomously
  • You have a functional workspace at home where you can work productively and conduct online meetings
  • You have a passion for working in the not-for-profit sector and a strong belief in making a difference
