Remote / Work from Home
Welcome to SMART Recovery! We’re a dynamic for purpose organisation with a training social enterprise on a mission to empower people facing substance dependencies or challenging behaviours to reclaim balance and fulfilment in their lives.
With a global footprint and 20 years of service delivery in Australia, we deliver tailored peer support programs and services that help individuals achieve their personal goals. Along the way, we provide dedicated support to their families and friends, recognising the vital role they play in the recovery journey.
Here in Australia, we’re guided by our visionary CEO, whose collaborative and inclusive approach shapes everything we do. Their strategy focuses on delivering exceptional participant experiences while staying ahead of the curve with innovative, research-driven program enhancements. With a respected brand and exciting growth plans on the horizon, there’s no better time to join us and help shape the future of SMART Recovery.
We’re seeking an experienced, adaptable, and professional Executive Officer to seamlessly and proactively coordinate, plan and manage the CEO’s commitments, support strategic activities, provide governance support to the board, and administrative support to the executive team.
As a key liaison point between the CEO, internal teams, member organisations, and government representatives, you will operate as a conduit to ensure that efforts are well coordinated, executed, and communicated.
In real terms, you will juggle lots of competing priorities, seek out openings for the CEO to build strategic relationships, keep an ear to the ground and an eye on the ball with regards to development opportunities, and generally free up the CEO to focus on developing advocacy, brand presence, and organisational awareness.
This role is part time (25 hours per week with a pro rata salary) and is primarily WFH, and with some office time if you’re located in/near Sydney.
Strategic of mind and supportive in style, you’re a self-starter by nature. Practical and calm, you love solving problems, even when the pressure’s on. You’re experienced at working alongside a busy, self-sufficient CEO, and you enjoy keeping board directors organised, informed and on track.
A consummate professional, you’re down to earth, good humoured and warm. You’re adept at building rapport and relationships, have excellent communication skills, and you’re always thinking and planning two steps or three steps ahead.
