We are seeking a Settlement Youth Worker to provide youth case management, group facilitation and advocacy services to eligible young people (12-25 yrs old) who are from refugee and migrant backgrounds and recently arrived in Australia. The Settlement Youth Worker will support these young people to meet their settlement needs with a strong emphasis on breaking down barriers to employment. 

This is a Level 4 position under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award. It is a part time (3 days a week), 12 month fixed term role.

About you

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience working with Young People
  • A passion for helping new arrivals in Australia succeed
  • Confidence or experience in facilitating group programs
  • A commitment to deliver high quality outcomes for clients

Spectrum is a Child Safe employer. Employment is subject to a current employment Working with Children Check, National Police Check (and international police check if resided overseas for 12 months or longer in the past 10 years) and proof of the right to work in Australia. Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption prior to commencement.
