This is an exciting time to join the Social Futures team in our StandBy program which we are currently expanding.

StandBy Coordinators ensure the provision of high quality suicide postvention services. Social Futures is seeking Coordinators to deliver StandBy-Support across two regions (Far West NSW, Central Coast /Hunter/ New England) to meet the need for a coordinated response to suicide in a community.

Working in partnership with StandBy National, this key role manages a small team of outreach workers and distributed casual pool in providing support services including person-centred support and community training and educational events to assist people and communities bereaved or impacted by suicide.

The Coordinator will provide direct support as well as managing a critical response team and the overall program delivery in the region. The role will require someone with experience in working with people bereaved by suicide and/or experiencing personal trauma and skills in person-centred, culturally appropriate support. In addition, they will need experience and skills in managing program requirements while supporting a small team of support workers.
