Your role within our dedicated postvention suicide support service, StandBy will allow you to:

  • Support communities, individuals and workplaces bereaved by suicide
  • Work in Australia’s leading post vention suicide program
  • Champion the voice of those with lived experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (internal and external) to build community preparedness and awareness around suicide post vention supports

Job Description

Joining us, you’ll guide a team of dedicated individuals who are focused on providing evidence based best practice in post vention supports. From delivering workshops within community, to individual support sessions, your work will be diverse and impactful. This role is a great opportunity to step into a leadership position and can be located within Tweed Heads, Lismore, Grafton or Coffs Harbor. Here’s how it will help transform your career:

We are looking for a passionate leader with a desire to make a difference. The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, social science or social welfare, health promotion or similar
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in working with people bereaved through suicide
  • Excellent relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Experience in managing critical response team
