As a Carer Recruitment Advisor with Social Care Solutions (SCS), you will play a central role in our new Fostering Beginnings Program — walking alongside prospective foster carers from their initial Expression of Interest all the way through to a warm handover to a foster care agency.
This is a rewarding, community-facing role for someone who brings a genuine commitment to children's safety and wellbeing, a strong understanding of the foster care sector, and the relationship skills to support people through one of the most meaningful decisions of their lives.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing a caseload of prospective foster carers from Expression of Interest through to agency handover
- Providing responsive, warm and informative case management throughout the applicant journey
- Coordinating applicant participation in training and assessment activities
- Facilitating warm handovers to foster care support agencies
- Representing SCS at community events, information sessions and networking activities across South East Queensland
- Maintaining accurate case notes and workflow documentation
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or related field
- Minimum 5 years' direct practice experience in the out-of-home care sector
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and foster care legislation
- Excellent case management, communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently across a community-based caseload
- Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)

- 0.5 FTE (negotiable, 20 hours per week — ideally spread across 5 days)
- Fixed-term 5-year contract commencing early June 2026
