The Smith Family is a national children’s education charity helping disadvantaged young Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves.

Reporting to the Sitecore Technical Lead and working with a dedicated and passionate team, this pivotal role will lead the implementation of technology-enabled business logic to meet business goals and objectives include develop and implement database and software programs. All contributing to The Smith Family’s vision.

A day in the life of a Sitecore Technical Lead might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist with mentoring and developing junior developers and facilitating Community of Practice meetings
  • Establishing and leading code branching and release management strategy
  • Review and produce technical, solution and application architecture specifications particularly for any platform related Tech Debt or Security Matter
  • Trace and remove reported faults; identify root causes for production system failure and non-detection of faults prior to go live
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external customers

It takes a special kind of person to be our Sitecore Technical Lead. The successful candidate will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology
  • Minimum of 8 years in application development using ASP.NET, C# and JavaScript
  • Experience in Azure Cloud and PaaS hosting architecture
  • Experienced in Database development using SQL Server (2012 or later)
  • Strong applications problem solving and trouble shooting skills
