The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.

We are seeking an experienced Risk Business Partner to join our organisation. Reporting to the National Manager, Risk and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, this role will provide support in delivering the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) requirements of The Smith Family.

About our role

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the business with risk assessment, treatment plans and system recording
  • Collaborating to develop, implement and roll out new risk management processes and framework
  • Providing support to the business with contract reviews and approvals and technical support
  • Assisting with internal communication and promotion of Risk Network initiatives
  • Management of the FOLIO platform including providing insights and reporting
  • Maintaining the Control Review Register

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in risk management system/software
  • Experience in workshop facilitation
  • Confident in system user administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyse and identify risks and make recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
