Where you will be based

Drug Health Services (DHS) aims to reduce the harms associated with substance use for individuals, families and communities and to prevent drug misuse. Our Mission is to deliver evidence based and patient centred care in collaboration with other health and non-health partners to improve the health outcomes of individuals, their families and broader community.

Services are provided at Canterbury, Concord Repatriation General and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and at Canterbury, Marrickville and Redfern Health Centres. Selected programs offer services in community and via approved outreach arrangements.

About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for providing senior clinical leadership for the Centralised Intake Service, optimising patient/client care delivery.

You will take the lead in developing, implementing, maintaining and auditing the clinical processes of centralised intake to ensure that a standardised approach and accessible referrals pathways are in place.

You are responsible for providing a clinical service in the Centralised Intake Service including responding to more difficult and complex presentations.

The Ideal Candidate is someone who has...

• A bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; OR current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with approved post registration qualifications relevant to the field, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
• Leadership, advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the field of drug & alcohol.
• A current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 or P2 licence is acceptable).
