Where you will be based

Acacia ward is a 30 bed surgical ward and falls within the Gastro and Liver Services clinical grouping. A wide range of surgical specialties such as urology, gynaecology, general surgery, colorectal as well as orthopaedic conditions are managed on the ward. The core orthopaedic is joint replacement. The ward has a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and is attended by highly skilled nurses, doctors and the allied health team.

About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

The Ideal Candidate is someone who has...

  • A current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to work a 7 day rotating roster.
