The Opportunity

As a Not-For-Profit community organisation, we are seeking a results-driven, relationship-focused professional to actively drive our growth.

Success in this role relies on more than just great conversations: it requires managing a rigorous pipeline, hitting outreach targets, and successfully converting leads into active employer partnerships.

You will take full ownership of the business development cycle: from identifying prospects and networking, to presenting tailored workforce solutions and securing partnerships with local and national employers.

If you have a talent for BD and want your work to mean something more, this role offers a unique balance. Through succeeding in your role, you will directly help young people in Queensland kick-start meaningful careers as an apprentice and trainee.

Key responsibilities:

Business Development & Employer Engagement

  • Proactively identify, approach, and secure new employer partnerships
  • Build, manage, and grow an outbound sales pipeline
  • Prepare tailored proposals and promotional materials for clients
  • Leverage our CRM system to manage your pipeline and ensure you consistently meet quarterly and annual growth targets
  • Strengthen established long-term relationships
  • Research industry trends and identify opportunities
  • Respond to enquiries from employers, apprentices, trainees and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with internal recruitment and mentoring teams 

who we are looking for

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • You have a proven track record in business development, service sales, or account management
  • Are a confident, organised, self-starter who takes ownership of goals and excels in building trusted relationships
  • Have a genuine interest in creating youth employment opportunities and a proven ability to grow a network of business relationships

Experience within the apprenticeship, training, recruitment, or workforce solutions industries will be highly regarded.
