Make a lasting impact in the community of Timor-Leste by joining our Health Workforce Development Program as a Quality Programs Team Leader. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside dedicated Timorese healthcare professionals to improve patient care and safety within the national hospital system.
Based at Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares, you will be responsible for working with the Leadership and Quality Programs Manager and program caregivers to support the St John of God International Health (SJGIH) development program plans. The overarching goal of the SJGIH plans is to: “Improve patient care across Timor-Leste by strengthening the capacity of Timorese healthcare workers, with the primary focus at HNGV.”

Successful applicants must possess a nursing and/or midwifery qualification and be eligible for registration to practice as a nurse/midwife in Australia. You will also have completed a post-graduate qualification and/or have minimum two years’ experience working in a quality role across auditing, development & implementation of polices, Standard Operating Procedures, infection control and data management.
We are seeking a dedicated health professional with two years leadership/management experience who can lead and manage outcomes at strategic and operational levels. This role will require a commitment to learn the local language of Tetun.
