The opportunity

As the Future Care Liaison Officer, you will be reporting into the Director of Research Discovery. You will have the skills and knowledge to support the team and play a key role in implementing the Research & Innovation (Future Care) strategy, governance and coordination and monitoring of projects and activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a research and innovation activity roadmap in accordance with the Future Care strategy.
• Work with the Future Care Directors to develop and submit high quality and competitive funding applications.
• Project management support for projects led by the Future Care team.
• Provide high-quality executive level administration support to the Future Care Directors.
• Support the establishment and operation of the Future Care Fund – an internal funding scheme that enables research and innovation projects.

About you

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in research administration, systems and processes.
• Experience with government, tertiary, industry and other research governing bodies and their policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Demonstrated excellence in the managing projects including conception, budget, governance, audit and review.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team to produce high quality outputs.
• Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures whilst managing multiple tasks.
• Experience in supporting numerous Executives across a complex and dynamic organisation.
• Exemplary organisational and time management skills including adaptability to shift tasks on a moment’s notice.
• An ability to anticipate the needs of others and respond in a positive and proactive manner.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and trouble-shooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High computer literacy.
