Medical Education Coordinator

Based at our Woodville office, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the capacity of doctors to promote and improve sexual health in the South Australian community through the planning, implementation, and evaluation of continuing education programs. We are looking for individuals who share our values, embracing sexual, gender and cultural diversity and apply these to sexual and reproductive health education and practice.

About the role

  • 0.4 FTE (2 days per week)
  • Tuesday and Wednesday (Negotiable)
  • Hourly rate range $92.54 - $98.67 / hour plus 11% superannuation guarantee

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and evaluate a variety of continuing education programs for doctors.
  • Contribute to the competence and professional development of doctors at SHINE SA.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain high standards in sexual and reproductive health services.

Essential Requirements

  • Medical Degree - MBBS
  • Full AHPRA Registration
  • Family Planning Alliance Australia nationally accredited Reproductive and Sexual Health Certificate for Doctors or equivalent
  • Competence in Intrauterine Contraception Device insertion
  • Competence in Contraceptive Implant insertion and removal
  • Australian working rights
  • Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience
  • Experience conducting education programs
  • Knowledge of contemporary medical education methodologies
  • Demonstrate values and attitudes towards gender, sexual, and cultural diversity which are consistent with SHINE SA’s Strategic Directions, policies, and code of conduct
