Shelter Tas is the peak body for housing and homelessness services and low to moderate income housing consumers in lutruwita/Tasmania. Shelter Tas is a for-purpose member-based organisation.
We are looking for an experienced candidate who, like us, believes that affordable, appropriate, safe and secure housing is a fundamental human right. They will play a key role in providing project capacity and capability, sector analysis and expert advice - to Shelter Tas and its members - to support systemic advocacy on housing and homelessness issues in Tasmania.
This Hobart-based role is for approximately 30 hours per week (to be negotiated with the successful applicant), paid at Level 7.1 SCHCADS Award, and aligned with a four-year funding contract.
This is a senior position within Shelter Tas, tasked with developing and implementing projects as required and, where necessary, providing expert advice and support to the CEO, staff members, and the Shelter Tas Executive and Policy Committees.
The Senior Project Officer’s primary responsibility is to fully extend the scope of the Shelter Tas Strategic Plan and its underpinning Operational Plan. This requires identifying suitable projects to optimise the Plan, with a focus on enhancing the capacity and capability of Shelter Tas to engage in project-specific tasks designed to support the housing and homelessness sector.
The Senior Project Officer will therefore take a leading role in developing and implementing all projects required of or for Shelter Tas.
Shelter Tas will only consider applications that address ALL selection criteria.
