Purpose of Position

To provide leadership as a positive role model in accordance with the Vision Statement, Service Charter, Governance Policies and Business Plan and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality Framework and Terms of Business by supporting the participants of Sharing Places to achieve personal goals by moving towards their full potential for self determination and acceptance as valued members of the community. To coordinate all requirements and services in relation to participant NDIS support plans and outcomes.

Prerequisites for entry to this level

• relevant degree with experience;
• post graduate qualifications with relevant experience;
• associate diploma with substantial experience; or
• attained through previous appointments, service and/or study with a combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties required at this level.

Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated sound leadership and supervision skills in a team working environment, within a community based service. 
• Demonstrated specialist knowledge in disability principles, planning and assessment, supported by a broad range of experience in the provision of services to adults with high and complex support needs.
• Demonstrated specialist knowledge of quality and safeguarding, risk management processes, incident management, and positive behaviour support practices.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate close working relationships with participants, staff, and the community.
• Ability to use initiative and exercise good judgement and exercise excellent problem solving techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven skills in IT systems and experience working with Microsoft Office.
• Current driver’s license and First Aid Certificate.
