Through our Festival, events and activities we act as a global beacon of pride, progress and community. We work to raise the visibility of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual communities, and champion equality.
Since the first march for freedom in 1978, SGLMG has grown into a leading international arts festival, our iconic Parade now includes over 250,000 people and reaches a digital audience of almost half a billion. As one of the world's biggest Pride movements, our unique combination of social justice, community and celebration is internationally recognisable.
The Festival Associate Producer contributes to the delivery of assigned SGLMG produced Festival events year-round, as directed by the Executive Producer. (Assigned events come from a broad range of genre, from dance and music events to performing arts, comedy and cabaret. Candidates should indicate their genres of strength and interest)
The role works collaboratively with the Festival Producer (Fair Day) in the development and production of all assigned SGLMG events to world class quality, significance and reputation.
The Festival Associate Producer will collaborate with the Festival Producer to ensure the programming of all assigned SGLMG events contributes to the Festival’s multi-tiered celebration, entertains, engages and enthuses the LGBTQIA+SB communities, the wider community, tourists and spectators alike.
The Festival Associate Producer works to deliver strategies that maintain and develop assigned SGLMG events and ensure their relevance and longevity as part of the world’s leading LGBTQIA+SB and diversity celebration.
The Festival Associate Producer manages aspects of the administrative, financial, creative, production and technical work assigned by the Festival Producer in the preparation, planning, organisation and implementation of assigned SGLMG produced events. Sponsorship and media partnerships are essential relationships, and the Festival Associate 2 Producer will assist the Festival Producer to ensure these relationships are successfully nurtured.
The Festival Associate Producer will support the Festival Producer in liaison with key stakeholder groups, venue partners, arts & cultural organisations and government agencies as a representative of SGLMG.
