The Manager/Head Barista will be responsible for maintaining consistently high-quality coffee standards at the café and for leading the café team to achieve this.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of the successful operation and growth of SERVED including but not limited to the following:
- Menu creation.
- Playlist creation.
- Stock ordering.
- Stock control.
- Coffee machine maintenance.
- Coffee grinder maintenance.
- Making and serving of hot, cold and pre-packaged beverages, pre-made food products and branded merchandise.
- POS operation and management.
- Account/s reconciliation.
- Social media marketing.
- Maintaining efficient and high-quality coffee operations within the café/s.
- Putting in place and overseeing the use of coffee procedures and recipes.
- Supporting the training and up-skilling of other staff.
- Managing coffee bar stock and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ensuring that the coffee menu remains relevant and adapting to any trends.
- Being involved in the training of trainees on the coffee machine and in coffee operations.
YOU COULD BE OUR NEXT MANAGER / HEAD BARISTA IF:
- You have proven experience opening and operating a successful café.
- You are an excellent barista.
- You have very strong experience working in cafés and are comfortable handling high volumes of coffee.
- You have awesome hospitality skills and are great with people.
- You are comfortable taking on a leadership position and supporting others to learn and succeed.
- You are highly organised, extremely responsible and always reliable.
- You want to have a sustainable impact in serving the community.
This role will be five days per week paid on a full-time contract ($56,000-$60,000 pro rata) including superannuation and with salary packaging options available.
The successful candidate will have availability on both weekends and weekdays with average shifts from 5.00 AM - 2.30 PM.
