This pivotal role plays a crucial part in supporting all people-related activities for the organisation. It requires a true generalist with a natural talent for connecting with people and building a positive culture.

The role focuses on providing essential HR support to our people and serving as the first point of contact for internal and external people-related inquiries.

The People and Culture Coordinator is responsible for guiding our employees through the employment lifecycle and contributing to the review, design and delivery of initiatives to support operational and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with our People and Culture Lead to roll out various initiatives.
  • Provide an awesome employee experience for our people by providing support and guidance on people related processes and policies, including recruitment, onboarding, off-boarding and training and development.
  • Managing the organisation's HRIS system and work closely with Payroll to ensure employee records, salary, entitlements and employee documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Making complicated employee legislation beautifully simple, clearly explaining workplace regulations and providing practical recommendations.
  • Constantly looking for opportunities to improve processes in line with the changing needs of the business.

The perfect fit for this role will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or demonstrated experience.
  • Prior experience creating, implementing and advising on HR documentation such as contracts, policies and procedures.
  • Be computer literate with accurate data entry skills, a good understanding of Microsoft Office applications and an ability to produce accurate reports.
  • A demonstrated ability to interpret Australian workplace Awards, National Employment Standards and Industrial Relations legislation and other employer-related legislation.
  • Systems experience with a HRIS and LMS - experience with Employment Hero and Go1 is highly desirable but not essential.
  • A “Can DO” attitude, strong attention to detail and an ability to build rapport with people from all walks of life.
