An Aged Care Advocate plays a vital role in supporting seniors by providing them with the necessary knowledge and confidence to defend their rights. They can either guide them to self-advocate or act as their voice. The Advocate's responsibilities include providing individual advocacy support to older people and their representatives, as well as facilitating information and education sessions for recipients and employees of residential aged care services, carers, health care professionals and other community organisations.
