Join our dedicated team at SECC as a Physiotherapist, where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic programs to enhance physical function, reduce pain, and prevent disability in clients. You’ll work with individuals facing injury, illness, or age-related conditions, promoting their independence and overall wellbeing through evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify impairments and develop treatment goals.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate personalized treatment plans for clients.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education.
  • Monitor client progress, document outcomes, and adjust programs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, care workers, and other allied health professionals.
  • Educate clients, families, and carers on physical health, mobility, and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with regulatory and SECC standards.
  • Contribute to falls prevention, mobility support, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Participate in clinical audits, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety policies, including Infection Control.
  • Uphold confidentiality and follow all SECC policies and regulatory requirements related to aged care.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency in all interactions with clients and colleagues.

What SECC is looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with full APHRA registration (no conditions).
  • Experience providing physiotherapy to elderly clients is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary physiotherapy practices and therapeutic interventions.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • As this role is to provide care within a clients home, you must have your own car
