Senator Jordon Steele-John is a Greens Senator for Western Australia. As a disabled person and one of Australia’s youngest Senators, Jordon’s office is grounded in the belief that elected representatives have a responsibility to boldly advocate for their communities in Federal Parliament while supporting people in taking collective political action for progressive change.

We are seeking a strategic and energetic Campaigns Advisor with strong people and communications skills to join our Perth-based team.

If you are passionate about progressive politics, experienced in mobilising communities, and motivated to help shape campaigns that drive real change, this is an opportunity to contribute to impactful, grassroots-driven work.

In this role, you will sit at the heart of campaign strategy and delivery, helping to build grassroots power across Western Australia and turning progressive ideas into action.

Alongside work in his portfolios of Health, Mental Health, Disability, the NDIS and Youth. Current office priorities include taxing the wealthiest 1%, and addressing the housing and climate crises.

Role Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of local and national priority campaigns.
  • Plan, coordinate, deliver and attend events, meetings and community actions with and on behalf of the Senator.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, members and supporters to strengthen engagement and campaign impact.
  • Support the Senator’s communication of campaign priorities through movement-building, community engagement and public-facing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across local, state and federal levels to align campaign activity with shared strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to team operations through participation in meetings, planning sessions and training.
  • Use digital tools and platforms (including Microsoft, Google Workspace, CiviCRM, VoterID, Slack and messaging systems) to coordinate work and deliver campaigns effectively.
  • Undertake occasional travel within Western Australia and interstate as required.
